Derek Kite, currently training in CO Springs, is a former professional runner and a 2x US Olympic Trials competitor who began triathloning in April 2003. In his first year of triathloning, he won an ITU event and was given the title of Rookie Duathlete of the Year. Derek brings to the sport his experience in running, having trained with some of the world's fastest Kenyan and American runners, and is quickly establishing himself in the world of triathlon.
